The Things You Read at Cracker Barrel

My husband and I went to Cracker Barrel today for dinner. I decided to "read" some of those "old" posters and pictures on the wall. There was a advertisement for "match safes." A match safe cost ten cents. Today you cannot even buy a match for ten cents. What happened? I asked my husband he said inflation and the cost of labor. I thought to myself, it is not easier to make things now with machines and cheaper because things do not have to be handmade. I am not a economic expert by any means but something seems amiss here. I am not going dive into political discussion. I was curious and maybe a little taken aback at the enormous gap in cost. I hope to figure this out one day but it seemed to be too much to ponder while eating my chicken fried chicken.

Now What?

It has been quite a while since I have posted on my blog. I would like to say it is because I have been extremely busy doing awesome things but sadly that is not the case. We, my husband and I, did go to Falls Creek youth camp last week and it was pretty awesome. Other than that we have been hanging around the house and keeping to ourselves. Although I have a distinct feeling that is about to change. But I will post about that as it comes up. Maybe this time I will keep up with this blog but I make no promises.
