Computers, Cussing, and Coca-Cola
Holy Cow! It is almost March. It feels like December and we are moving. It has been a different two months. I do not think we have been this busy since we were first married. We are adjusting well to Oklahoma. We have made quite a few trips to The City, since arriving here. I think I am beginning to feel like this is home. As with many military families it takes moment or two to feel at home some times. We are done vacationing for now. This is both good and sad. Good because we can settle in, sad because it was nice to travel and see family and friends. I am sure you are wondering what that has to do with the title of this post and I promise to get to that. I wanted to update you first. This Wednesday began the Lenten season. I have already given up soda of all varieties, I mentioned Coca-Cola because of the "C" theme I had going. I could have put chocolate, candy, calories, etc. But I wanted at least of them to be a success so I mentioned the soda. No, I have not given up computers for Lent but I did remove Facebook and Twitter from my phone and I have not logged onto them since Tuesday. Which is not a feat in and of itself unless you have seen my log in hours in the last two months. It is nuts. I was considering a stint in rehab. I figured this would give me an opportunity to re-establish my blogging and journals (for the stuff no one needs to see :)). It has been a struggle because as with the soda, my husband has not given social networking up, so I watch him log on and chat and drink soda. Not one of my better moments but he lives and so do I. Now cussing, I have tried this before and it worked for about a week, then I drove and all hope was lost. I am not sure why but as I have gotten older I realize how unattractive cussing is for a woman. This something personal to me. I am sure there are others who would disagree. It is like a scape goat when I am too lazy to think of something more intelligent to say. I am sure there are those who would disagree with that statement as well. Once again just a personal preference. It is the reason I love USA, freedom to be me. Well, think I have covered everything for today. Hopefully, I will continue to post more frequently. Ciao!
